2 People Dead After Sword Attack in Quebec City
Police in Quebec City have charged a 24-year-old man with two counts of first-degree murder and five counts of attempted murder after several people were stabbed with a sword on Saturday night in Quebec City.
The suspect has been identified as Carl Girouard of Ste-Therese.
Two people were killed in the attack. They have been identified as 56-year-old Francois Duchesne and 61-year-old Suzanne Clermont.
Five others were injured in the attack.
At a press conference, police say that attack was premeditated.
The suspect has no prior criminal record.
