Trump Cancels Denmark Trip Over Greenland Sale

U.S. President Donald Trump has canceled his visit to Denmark after discovering that Greenland is not for sale.

Trump said he called off the trip after the Danish Prime Minister made a "nasty" statement about the sale of Greenland.

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said that the whole thing was an absurd discussion".

Greenland is a massive island and autonomous Danish territory between the North Atlantic and Arctic oceans.

Several American and Danish military bases are located in Greenland, including the Thule Air Base, which is home to the 21st Space Wing's global network of sensors providing missile warning, space surveillance and space control to North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and Air Force Space Command (AFSPC).
