New Cigarette Labels to Come into Effect Next Month
After November 9, 2019, smokers will notice changes to their cigarette packages.
Cigarette packs will have logos and designs removed as a new law takes effect.
Brown will be the color on all packs and will just have the name of the brand along with a large health warning.
Retailers will have 90-days to rid themselves of remaining inventory.
Manufacturers/distributors have until November 9, 2021 to ensure all manufacturing, sales and distribution of cigarettes are in a slide and shell packaging format.
The regulations impact Manufactured Cigarettes, Tobacco Heating Products, Make Your Own/ Roll Your Own Products (Loose Tobacco, Tubes & Rolling Papers intended for use with tobacco), and Cigars and little cigars.
