New Crosswalk Beacons to be Installed at Rawlins Cross

New beacons are being installed at two crosswalks along Military Road at the intersections of Monkstown Road, and King’s Road.

The new beacons are expected to be in place by early next week.

The pedestrian activated crosswalk beacons will help improve crosswalk safety by getting drivers’ attention and improving their yield compliance to pedestrians at the crossing.

Preparation of the final report for the Rawlins Cross Traffic Pilot Project is ongoing and will be presented to Council in 2020.
