Ontario Confirms Second Case of Coronavirus

Ontario has confirmed a second case of the coronavirus.

Ontario's chief medical officer Dr. David Williams said that the patient has been in self-isolation since arriving in Toronto.

The individual is the wife of the man who had the first case of the virus.

Passengers who were within two metres of the infected patient on China Southern Airlines are being contacted.

There are over 2,700 confirmed cases of coronavirus in China.

The virus causes respiratory infections which are typically mild but, in rare cases, can be lethal.
