75-Year-Old Man Suffers Head Injury After Being Shoved By Police

A 75-year-old man who was involved in protests in Buffalo in response to the death of George Floyd is alert and oriented after police officers shoved him to the ground, causing him to hit his head.

Video from the scene shows the man hitting his head as he is pushed to the ground and blood coming from his head onto the pavement.

The officers involved in the incident have been suspended without pay.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said via Twitter that the actions of the officers were "wholly unjustified and utterly disgraceful."

An investigation is ongoing.
