Alberta Imposes Ban on Gatherings in Homes
In response to the growing number of COVID-19 cases in Alberta, Premier Jason Kenney imposed several new health restrictions on Tuesday. One of which includes a ban on gatherings in people’s homes.
Indoor gatherings are banned immediately. Those living alone may have two contacts.
Outdoor social gatherings are limited to 10 people, as are funerals and weddings.
Enforcement officials will also be able to issue fines up to $1,000 per individual who is violating the rules.
Alberta has had almost 50 thousand COVID-19 cases.
