Armed Robbery at the Avalon Mall

At 7:02 p.m. the RNC responded to the Avalon Mall to a report of an armed robbery.

The male suspect brandished a weapon after being approached by staff and fled the area on foot. The male suspect was located a short time later in another area of St. John's.

As a result, the 33-year-old male was arrested and charged with armed robbery and was conveyed to the St. John’s city lockup and will be held for a morning court appearance.
