Armed robbery suspect arrested following incident on Kenmount Road

A man has been arrested following an armed robbery at a business on Kenmount Road Sunday afternoon.

According to police, officers responded to the scene around 3:20 p.m. after receiving a report of a robbery involving a masked man armed with a knife. Officers quickly located the suspect nearby and arrested him without incident.

The man was transported to the St. John’s City Lock-up and is awaiting a court appearance. He faces several charges, including armed robbery, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, resisting arrest, and disguise with intent.

No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
