At least one person sent to hospital after reportedly colliding with a parked car in Mount Pearl on Sunday

At least one person was sent to hospital after reportedly colliding with a parked car in Mount Pearl on Sunday. Just after 2:10 p.m. on Sunday emergency services responded to a report of a traffic accident on Park Avenue between Winston Avenue and Birch Avenue.

One of the vehicles what was reportedly parked on Park Avenue was struck from behind causing significant damage do the vehicle, the vehicle that collided with the parked vehicle did sustain moderate damage, the operator of the vehicle was transported to hospital with what are believed to be non-serious injuries.

Traffic in the area was slowed as a tow truck worked to remove the vehicles from the scene.
