Writer: Web WritersWeb Writers

The Canada-Brazil Defence Cooperation Agreement has officially went into force, following the official ratification by both Governments.

Canada and Brazil will advance defence cooperation through training and education; United Nations peacekeeping operations; science and technology; and shared regional and international priorities.

It also opens new economic opportunities in defence procurement. This partnership will open new strategic opportunities for Canada’s aerospace and defence industry to provide products and services to Brazilian defence programs, including air traffic control and maritime tracking satellites, telecommunications equipment for ground operations, aircraft maintenance and overhaul training, and new sea patrol ships.

Brazil's military is considered one of the most powerful in the world.
