Canada imposes new sanctions on Russian citizens
Canada has imposed new sanctions on 14 close associates of the Russian regime, including Russian oligarchs and their family members. This includes President Putin’s two adult daughters.
Canada’s latest sanctions will impose asset freezes and prohibitions on listed individuals and entities.
Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Canada has imposed sanctions on more than 750 individuals and entities from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also announced on Tuesday that Canada will send heavy artillery to Ukraine.
