Cat in the UK Tests Positive for COVID-19

A cat in the United Kingdom has tested positive for COVID-19.

Experts say that this is the first instance where an animal in the U.K. contracted the virus and there is no definite answer as to whether or not the animal contracted the virus from a human. The owner of the cat did have COVID-19.

There is no need for alarm however, as the likelihood of a pet contracting the virus is very low.

There is also no evidence to suggest that a pet can transmit the virus to humans.

Both have since recovered.
