Country music legend Loretta Lynn has died



Country music legend Loretta Lynn has died. She was 90.


In a statement, the family said, "our precious mom, Loretta Lynn, passed away peacefully this morning, October 4th, in her sleep at home at her beloved ranch in Hurricane Mills."


Lynn released multiple gold albums featuring hits such as "You Ain't Woman Enough (To Take My Man)", "Don't Come Home A-Drinkin' (With Lovin' on Your Mind)", "One's on the Way", "Fist City", and "Coal Miner's Daughter".


The film Coal Miner's Daughter was made based on her life in 1980.


In 2017 Lynn suffered a stroke and in 2018 she broke her hip.


The family has asked for privacy during this time.


An announcement regarding a memorial will be forthcoming in a public announcement.
