Dempster Highlights Additional Support for Young Labrador Athletes

In the House of Assembly this week, Minister of Labrador Affairs Lisa Dempster highlighted additional support for young Labrador athletes.

The most recent enhancements to the Labrador Sport Travel Subsidy program levels the playing field for Labrador youth living in isolated communities along the North coast, providing individual athletes 100 per cent airfare coverage to the Goose Bay airport.

Last year the government provided 100 individual grants and 55 team grants. This year, that number is expected to be surpassed.
