Department of Transportation officer hit with rock in St. John's

Saturday evening the responded to a report of an assault whereby a Department of Transportation officer was struck by a rock in the area of Water Street in St. John’s.

The responding offices located a female matching the description in the area.

The officers determined she had an outstanding warrant for her arrest and she

was held for court.

The female was uncooperative during the arrest and is also charged with obstruction of a Police Officer.

The assault remains under investigation.
