Emergency crews respond to a single-vehicle crash in Mount Pearl early Thursday morning.
Shortly after 1:00 a.m., Emergency services were dispatched to Topsail Road, specifically between Corey King Drive and the Kenmount Road overpass, following reports of the incident. Upon arrival, fire crews discovered a sedan that had collided with a utility pole, resulting in significant damage to both the pole and the vehicle. The impact caused the pole to crack and brought down multiple power and communication lines.
This situation necessitated the involvement of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC), who closed the road for several hours to investigate the cause of the crash.
According to reports from the scene, one female occupant was transported to the hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries.
