Explosions rock Ukraine

It has been a deadly night across Ukraine as Russia pounded several regions of the country with missiles including Kyiv.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says several people have been killed and injured.

It is believed that the attacks were in retaliation for an explosion on a bridge that connected Crimea to Russia. Ukraine has not claimed responsibility for the attack. Putin blamed Ukraine and called it a terrorist attack.

Russia has no legal claim to Crimea. It was annexed in 2014.

The Kyiv Independent said that Russia attacked 11 critical infrastructure sites. Several civilian sites were also targeted.
