Fire destroys home in Victoria on Christmas Eve

The Victoria Fire Department responded to a residential fire in the community on Christmas Eve.

The homeowners were awakened by a smoke alarm and escaped the home to safety.

Neighbours contacted emergency services to inform them of the incident.

Crews suppressed the fire but the home suffered significant fire, smoke and water damage.

Fire crews from Salmon Cove/Perry’s Cove and Carbonear responded to the fire.
