Foreign reporters flee Russia after new law imposed

CBC, BBC, CNN, CBS, ABC and many other media outlets have removed reporters from Russia.

The Russian government recently passed a law stating that journalists can be imprisoned for 15 years for spreading what the government dictates is "fake news".

Some independent media in Russia has also closed.

Russians have a very different view of the war. The Russian government has been spreading misinformation through state-run media.

Reporters Without Borders pegged Russia 150 out of 180 countries in the Press Freedom Index last year.
