Government Launches Community Toolkit for Recruitment and Retention of Health Care Professionals

The provincial government has launched a toolkit for municipalities to use to help communities throughout the province address health care recruitment and retention.

The kits, called Welcome Home, were developed by the Department of Health and Community Services, in collaboration with Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador, NL Health Services, and other key partners.

It provides information and resources for creating welcoming communities for health care professionals including orientation for newcomers, site visits, help with transitioning to Newfoundland and Labrador, and transportation assistance.
