Heat Warning Issued for Parts of Central #nlwx

The Island is in for a pretty warm week for the most past.


On the Avalon Peninsula, highs near 25 are expected. On the west coast, highs will hover in the high twenties for at least the first half of the week.


In Central Newfoundland, there is a heat warning in effect. From Monday through Wednesday, maximum daytime temperatures are expected to be 28 to 30 degrees Celsius, except cooler along parts of the coast. Minimum overnight temperatures of 16 to 18 degrees Celsius is expected.


A heat warning is in effect for:

  • Buchans and the interior

  • Grand Falls-Windsor and vicinity

  • Bay of Exploits

  • Bonavista North

  • Bonavista Peninsula

  • Clarenville and vicinity

  • Gander and vicinity

  • Terra Nova


Cooler temperatures are expected on Thursday, but we should still hit twenty degrees in most areas.
