Heathrow Airport closed following fire and power outage
Heathrow Airport in London, England is closed prompting the cancellations of thousands of flights after a substation supplying the airport caught on fire and cut power to the busiest airport in Europe.
The airport will be closed all day Friday.
Passengers are advised not to travel to the airport and should contact their airline for further information.
The London Fire Brigade says the fire is still burning. Nearly 5,000 nearby homes were also impacted by the outage.
