Jeff Bezos Stepping Down as Amazon CEO

The founder and CEO of Amazon Jeff Bezos is stepping down.

Bezos will become the executive chair of the company in the third quarter of this year. Andy Jassy will take over the role of CEO.

In late 1993, Bezos decided to establish an online bookstore. That bookstore would grow into the Amazon that we know today, selling just about everything.

Bezos made the company grow to $1.7 trillion in sales. Making him one of the richest people in the world.
