Jury rules in favour of Johnny Depp

The jury has ruled in favour of Johnny Depp in a libel lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

During the trial, Heard had accused Depp of abuse before and during their marriage which lasted two years.

The jury also agreed with Heard that Depp's lawyer defamed her calling her allegations a hoax.

The jury determined that Depp should be awarded US$10.35 million in damages and Heard should be awarded US$2 million.

The trial began in April of this year in Fairfax County, Virginia.
