Massive 7.8M Earthquake Strikes Turkey



A Magnitude 7.8 Earthquake has struck between the borders of Turkey and Syria along with several aftershocks.


Devastating photos and videos have been shared on social media after the earthquakes struck the region, with building collapses, gas pipelines catching on fire and authorities have confirmed over 1,000 deaths.


Aftershocks have been felt in a total of seven countries in the region including Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, and Cyprus, with lighter aftershocks reported in Jordan, Israel, and Egypt.


Tsunami alerts were issued in Italy.

The Turkish government has requested international aid in wake of these events.
