Most Canadians don't want Charles as King of Canada
All eyes are on London today as the Coronation of King Charles III gets underway.
But a new study from the Angus Reid Institute shows that 52 percent of Canadians do not want Canada to continue as a constitutional monarchy for generations to come, while a staggering 88 percent believe it’s worth opening the constitution to sever the country’s royal roots.
When it comes to Camilla 66 percent of people say they oppose Canada recognizing Camilla as queen of Canada.
William and Kate, the next in line for the throne, are viewed more favourably by Canadians.
