NLCU organizes food drive and fund relief initiatives

The Newfoundland and Labrador Credit Union and the charity it established are teaming up to support of local communities with two initiatives.

To assist with the rise in food insecurity in the province the NLCU has organized a province-wide food drive.

Food donations that are dropped off at NLCU’s 12 locations will be provided to local food banks.

Additionally, in response to the devastation experienced on the southwest coast due to Hurricane Fiona, the NLCU Charitable Foundation has been raising funds to donate to the Canadian Red Cross.

The foundation will match donations to a maximum of $5,000. The fundraising ends this week.
