North Korea closes a number of embassies

North Korea has closed a number of its embassies in recent months, most in Asia and Africa. The move is described as diplomatic restructuring by the North Korean government.

Some have speculated that the closures could be a result of a financial crisis in the country that is riddled with sanctions.

Embassies in Uganda and Angola along with Hong Kong and Nepal have closed.

North Korea has embassies in 46 countries.
