Officer assaulted after incident near St. Clare’s Hospital

Friday afternoon the RNC responded to a report of assistance near St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital in St. John's.

While dealing with a 50-year-old female with the report, an officer was assaulted.

The female was arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer, breach of probation, and breach of a release order.

She was held to appear in court.

The officer was not injured.
