One person sent to hospital after dramatic crash in the centre city of St. John’s early Friday morning

Just after 12:20 a.m on April 11th of 2025 emergency crews were called to Elizabeth Avenue between Downing Street and Portugal Cove Road.

Upon arrival a single vehicle that had crossed a lawn and missed to large trees then coming to a stop after striking a home on Elizabeth Avenue.

One of the occupant(s) were transported to hospital by ambulance it is unknown what there condition is at this time.

Traffic was slowed in the area at the time of the collision as members with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Traffic Services and Accident Investigation team attended the scene.
