PHAC warns of influenza epidemic across Canada
The Public Health Agency of Canada is warning that Influenza activity has already crossed the seasonal threshold, indicating the start of an influenza epidemic across the country.
From August 28 to November 5, there have been 4,480 influenza detections across Canada, about 99 percent of those cases were influenza A.
To date, this season, 15 people across the country have been admitted to the ICU and less than five influenza-associated deaths were reported.
