Police seize cocaine, cash, vehicles and other trafficking-related material in Paradise
Police have seized cocaine, cash, vehicles and other trafficking-related material after a drug investigation in Paradise.
In April of this year, the RNC launched an investigation into drug trafficking. Last Wednesday, police attended a residence in Paradise with a search warrant. The officers seized drugs, cash, and other items related to drug trafficking on the property.
As a result of the investigation, officers seized 2.69 kilograms of cocaine, 933.5 grams of crack cocaine, $163,310.00 in Canadian currency, bear mace, weigh scales, a 2023 Range Rover Velar, a 2023 Acura MDX, a 2008 Mercedes AMG sedan, and other paraphernalia related to drug trafficking.
The approximate value of the drugs seized is $275,000.00.
58-year-old Gary Mulrooney of Paradise has been arrested and charged with trafficking in controlled substances, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and breach of court orders. The accused was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
The investigation remains active.
