Prime Minister of Lebanon Stepping Down
Prime Minister Hassan Diab of Lebanon has announced that he will be stepping down from office after a large explosion last week that killed 160 people and injured almost 6,000 others.
The resignation has to be approved by the president of the country. Since the explosion, the government have faced intense backlash over what is being described as rampant corruption.
Since October, there have been mass demonstrations demanding the departure of the entire government.
