Protests Intensify in Belarus After Election
On Thursday, workers are several manufacturing plants in Belarus declared strikes to protest the results of the recent election.
Authoritarian leader Alexander Lukashenko won the election in a landslide on Sunday.
There have been numerous allegations of vote-rigging.
The opposition leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya fled the country and is not in Lithuania.
Protests have been ongoing since Monday.
Since the protests started, 7,000 people have arrested. Reports state the jails are over-flowing.
Alexander Lukashenko has been in power for 26 years.
