Rain, Snow, and Wind Expected in Newfoundland #nlwx

Writer: Web WritersWeb Writers

An area of low pressure over the Bay of Fundy is bringing unsettled weather to Newfoundland.

Precipitation is falling across most of Newfoundland. Snow will change to rain over the Avalon Peninsula, Burin Peninsula, and most of Central Newfoundland.

Snow will likely be the dominant form of precipitation across the West Coast.

Most areas will see strong winds also. In the heaviest snow across Western Newfoundland, 15 centimetres are possible. 10 millimetres of rain is expected along the South Coast.

The strong winds may cause power outages.

Marine Atlantic has cancelled all crossings for tonight.
