Rain washes out road, reduces fire risk #nlwx

There are travel issues on the west coast of the province this morning.

Heavy rain has caused water build-up and road wash-outs.

RCMP on the west coast is advising that there is a washout on Route 460 on the Port au Port Peninsula between Marches Point and Sheaves Cove.

The rain has ended for most areas but showers are possible throughout the day.

If there is an upside to the rain, the fire risk is now low for most of Newfoundland.
