Security breach at Twitter involving 235 million users
There has been a major security breach at Twitter involving 235 million users.
Email addresses linked to 235 million Twitter accounts have been shared on an online hacking forum.
In this latest breach, hackers have been able to match emails to Twitter IDs and combined this public data with private email addresses and phone numbers to create profiles of Twitter users.
There is no evidence to suggest that passwords were compromised but users should turn on two-factor authentication and ignore any suspicious emails or texts.
