Snowy along the west coast and stormy in Labrador

The eastern half of Newfoundland, including central areas, will see nice weather today with a mix of sun and cloud. Flurries and sea-effect snow are expected for the west coast, with about 2 to 4 cm expected for the Port aux Basques and Stephenville area and up to 5 cm for Corner Brook. Temperatures are expected to reach plus 1 to minus 6.


Across Labrador today, snowfall amounts of 2 to 4 cm are expected for Upper Lake Melville, Eagle River, Nain, and Norman Bay to Lodge Bay. Snowfall amounts of 10 cm are expected for Rigolet, Cartwright to Black Tickle, and Hopedale. Very strong winds are expected. Sun and cloud is expected in western areas. Temperatures will range between minus 13 and minus 3.
