St. John's receives Year of Sport funding for select free swims

St. John’s has received Year of Sport funding to support free swims at pools.
Free swims will be aligned with the following promotional weeks or months:
National Volunteer Week (April 27 to May 3)
Paul Reynolds Community Centre: Friday, May 2 from 7 to 7:50 p.m.
H.G.R. Mews Community Centre: Saturday, May 3 from 3 to 3:50 p.m.
Municipal Awareness Week (May 4 to 10)
Paul Reynolds Community Centre: Sunday, May 4 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Youth Week (May 1 to 7)
H.G.R. Mews Community Centre: Sunday, May 4 from 1 to 1:50 p.m.
Paul Reynolds Community Centre: Wednesday, May 7 from 7 to 7:50 p.m.
AccessAbility Week (May 25 to 31)
H.G.R. Mews Community Centre: Sunday, May 25 from 3 to 3:50 p.m.
Paul Reynolds Community Centre; Tuesday, May 27 from 2 to 3 p.m. (Therapeutic Swim)
ParticipACTION Community Challenge (June 1 to 30)
H.G.R. Mews Community Centre; Friday, June 13 from 7 to 7:50 p.m.
Paul Reynolds Community Centre; Saturday, June 14 from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m.
Additional free swimming opportunities will be announced for the fall. The City will also continue to offer free swims at its outdoor pools at Bannerman Park and Bowring Park throughout the summer.
