Stormy day across NL #nlwx

The weather across the province will not be very nice today with rain, snow, and strong winds expected.
The west coast of Newfoundland is expected to receive 15 to 25 mm of rain, with higher terrain areas potentially seeing up to 40 mm.
The south coast may experience 25 to 60 mm of rainfall, with amounts reaching near 90 mm over higher terrain from overnight until late Friday afternoon.
Mild temperatures combined with heavy rainfall will cause significant snowmelt, increasing the risk of localized flooding, particularly in areas with poor drainage and substantial runoff.
Channel-Port aux Basques, along with Burgeo to Ramea, will see snowfall this evening and overnight, with accumulations of 10 to 20 cm possible. The snow is expected to transition into heavy rain overnight.
