Threat made against Corner Brook school

There were some tense moments this morning at Corner Brook Intermediate School.

Students were dismissed earlier today around the lunch hour after a threat was made against the school. The school was placed in secure school mode.

Secure school mode is a course of action in which school safety is best achieved by ‘securing’ the school and restricting student and staff movement throughout the building according to the NLESD.

The RNC was also on the scene.

Corner Brook Intermediate hosts students from grades 7 to 9 and has over 600 students.

At this time there are few details available. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
