Trudeau and Scholz to make historic announcement in Stephenville
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met with the Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, in Montréal, where he welcomed him on Sunday during an informal dinner, as part of his first official visit to Canada.
On Tuesday, Trudeau, Scholz, and several other officials including German corporate leaders will meet in Stephenville for what is being described as a "historic announcement".
The accord will allow Canada to export green hydrogen to Germany.
Germany has been facing fuel shortages since the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
