Trudeau announces $10-a-day Child Care Now a Reality in NL
In Clarenville this morning, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced $10 a day childcare across the country.
The announcement is three years ahead of the national target.
This means families in Newfoundland and Labrador are benefitting from $10-a-day regulated child care. The provincial government estimates that this will save $6,300 per year for each child in care.
This announcement comes less than two years after the governments of Canada and Newfoundland and Labrador agreed to support an average of $10 a day regulated child care in the province.
