Trudeau Says Some Canadians Will Remain Trapped

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Saturday that the federal government will not be able to get all stranded Canadians home from around the world.

Canadians stranded in Morocco, Peru and Spain will come home on commercial flights according to the Prime Minister.

There is airspace around the world that is closed to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Trudeau said, "it is an extremely difficult situation, but the lockdowns in various countries, the limits on travel, the logistical capacities of our airlines means that we are unlikely to be able to bring everyone home."

The Prime Minister has been holding daily news conferences outside his home at Rideau Cottage in Ottawa.
