Two arrested after assault in St. John's

On Sunday evening the RNC responded to a report of an assault outside a residence in the downtown area of St. John’s.

The persons responsible for the assault had fled the area in a vehicle however were located at another downtown residence a short time later.

As a result, a 31-year-old male was charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and breach of a release order.

The accused was held to appear in court.

A 33-year-old female is also charged with mischief to property and breach of her release order.

She was also held for court.
