Ukraine continues invasion into Russia

Ukrainian troops have invaded areas of western Russia forcing evacuations of some areas in the Kursk region.

The Ukrainian military has gained about 30 kilometres of ground. The Kursk region has been the staging ground for several Russian attacks on Ukraine.

The campaign began last Tuesday.

For the first time on Saturday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the operation is designed to push the war into the aggressor's territory.
