Newfoundland and Labrador can expect a cool and unsettled start to the new week as spring continues to unfold across the province. Today's weather will deliver a mixed bag of conditions, ranging from scattered rain showers along the coast to flurries and light snow inland.
Daytime highs are forecast to reach around 5°C across most of the region, while temperatures will dip below freezing overnight, bottoming out near -2°C in some communities.
Rain will dampen coastal areas, with expected rainfall totals between 5 and 10 millimetres. Inland and higher elevation communities, particularly in central and northern parts of the province, may see up to 5 centimetres of snow as colder air lingers.
Winds are also expected to play a role in the weather story, with brisk gusts reaching up to 35 km/h, especially along exposed coastal stretches.
Humidity levels will remain high, hovering around 90%, contributing to the damp and chilly feel across the province. Sunshine will be in short supply, with only a few hours of bright spells predicted throughout the day.
