Weekend weather and a look at the Marine forecast


After a biting cold Thursday, temperatures are on the rise across the province today.


Practically all areas of the province will see sun and cloud. High temperatures on the island will range from 4 to 12 degrees. In Labrador, high temperatures will range from zero to 10.


Taking a look at the weekend, Newfoundland will remain dry with clouds building on Sunday. In Labrador, it will be an unsettled weekend with rain and snow.


Conditions across the province turn unsettled by Sunday night when a developing low will move across eastern Hudson Bay sending precipitation our way.


Marine Weather:

Across Newfoundland, waves from 1 to 2 metres along the west and south coasts. Waves 3 to 5 metres along the east and north coast. Winds west to northwest 20 to 25 knots diminishing this morning.


In Labrador waves of 3 to 5 metres are expected. There is a gale warning in effect for tonight and Saturday.
